reuseit.com is live - tell us what you think & win $100!
As we mentioned last week, we've been working hard the past several months to make our new site, reuseit.com, live. Our official launch is still a few weeks out, but the feedback from our friends, customers and fans has been invaluable in helping us to make improvements to the look and feel of the site, as well as to our product line.

P.S. Don't worry, ReusableBags.com will be on vacation for a little while now that reuseit is live, but it will be back soon in the form of an informational hub and activist resource center. More about that later!
I love the site. It's easy to navigate and I quickly found several products that I wanted to purchase. Love the "Learn" section. I wish someone would make me a rain slicker out of old plastic bags! Well done.

I've always loved this site, with the updates it's easier to navigate, but it also looks more user friendly, and welcoming.I like how when you hover over shop, the menu pops out and everything is divided into sections. On the old site you'd have to search a bit to find what you wanted, but now you can easily find what you want and head to the checkout quicker. Awesome job!

The homepage seems very cluttered. When I think "environmentally friendly", I want to see clean, uncluttered design. Sadly, the connotations with people who want to reuse things instead of throwing everything out is that they are a hoarder. That's why it's so important to have a homepage that looks very clean and open, not like you are trying to cram as much on one page as possible. It was a little overwhelming. The informational sections also seemed very crowded and uninviting to read. However, for the e-commerce section of the site, the functionality and product pages are very nicely organized.

Overall, I like the look and feel of the site, it seems to be easier to navigate. Some of the pros are that it's easier to find things, and the filter feature is really cool, make it really easy to find things. The con I noticed was that the front page is really busy, I didn't even notice all of the stuff at the bottom at first! Then when I scrolled down to look at it, I was like wait, isn't that a repeat of some of the stuff above? And sure enough, reasons to shop with us and stay in the know was repeated! I'd like to see a wish list feature that friends and family could look up for birthdays or weddings.

I love it. Love the myth busters section :-)

I really like the new site. Some of the things I like...the fun colorful photos, quick links on the left & filtering abilities. Your "Mythbusting" section is a must read so you have some "ammo" for those skeptical friends/coworkers. I think the materials comparison would be helpful for those who may be on the fence about what would be best...cotton, bamboo, etc when trying to make a buying decision. I also really liked your recipe for fruit infused water...YUM! And a flickr group? Who knew you had a flickr group....I sure didn't. Overall, I really like the new site, the only problem I had was just the first few days it was live. For some reason certain parts of the page seemed to overlap over parts but I haven't had that issue today so perhaps you've already fixed it. Great job guys! This is a very informative and useful site!

Pros: clean fresh design. Easier to navigate. Cleaner checkout. Diy section looks great.
Cons: parts of site a bit slow to load. Take action section feels light
Overall: great new look and feel - very excited to see what comes next!

Pros: Love when you hover over Shop + the menu appears. Love that you can narrow down your search by product type, price, etc.
Cons: The yellow triangles for Sale + New in the corners are the same color. Wish they were different colors.
Prices are listed as (example) $9.95 and Up. When I go look at the item the $9.95 is only when I buy more than 1 item and if I buy only 1 item the price is $10.95. I have wasted my time looking at an item that is more than I want to spend.
Overall I love the new site. Lots of product selection. Great prices. Informative. :)

I like the site & especially like the shop drop down. I think the top facts, myth busting, feat. image/video could be higher on the page. While the 'reasons to shop with us' is nice, it seems to take up a big chunk that could be better utilized by the 'stay in the know' section'. If I've made it that far down the page, you really don't have to convince me anymore - just show me more of your great content! Like the Made in USA section (not sure if it was on prior to new launch) & countries of origin.

Overall, I like the site. I am fairly new to the reuseit.com site,(I just received my very first issues of Yes! magazine in the mail and saw reusablebags.com mentioned in an article), so I can't really compare the new site to the old one. I do like the menu that pops up when you hover over shop. I like the categories and it's very easy to find what you're looking for. I noticed that there is a "for kids" section there. I especially like this because I am a parent and as I said I'm fairly new to this, so it's nice to see so many cool alternatives out there for my child (I'm saving up to purchase some stainless steel straws and WasteNot saks). As a newbie, the Learn section is also going to be especially helpful.
Some things that were confusing - I saw a link to gift certificates. I've got a birthday coming up and thought I could suggest this to people as a possible gift for me, but when I clicked on gift certificate I could not find how to purchase one. Also, in the Gift Center there is a link to Buying Guides, but when I clicked on that I went to a blank screen. I'm sure you're still in the process of working out the bugs. :-)
Anyway, I love the site and will be recommending it to my friends and family.
Two suggestions - A lot of companies give customers the ability to email product links directly from their site. I like to share things I've found with my husband and others. You might think about including this feature. Also, have you considered setting up a wishlist? I've used that feature on other sites and it works great. It has made gift buying so easy for me and my family.
